AYDIN BAYKARA

The artist graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Chemistry in 1980. He has worked with valuable artist Asım YÜCESOY for long time. The three works of the artist were printed as book covers and one work was also used as a cover picture of an encyclopedia entitled “How We Protect Our Psychological Health” published for METU 50th Anniversary. The two paintings of Baykara were selected by state artist Hamiye Çolakoğlu for the museum to be opened by Bilkent University’s behalf. In addition, five paintings of the artist were taken to Çorum Municipality Museum. Two paintings of the artist were given place in International Contemporary Masters 2010 art catalogue published every year in United States. In 2002, he founded the Turkish Paintings Com website in order to introduce the Turkish artists to the world and collected some 6000 artists. This established arts site was deemed worthy of the WQC Convention - Gold Category World Quality Award in 2012. Baykara, a member of American Society of Watercolor Associate, United Painters and Sculptors Association (BRHD), participated in 25 solo exhibitions and 107 group exhibitions including 8 abroad. The artist has 22 International Awards.
